The DBMS that will be used will be Oracle. The application itself will be developed in JAVA to be used as a servlet to manage this system. Mobile GSM will be the base form of communication between the system and the mobile phones along with SMS protocol will be integrated to allow for the delivery of the text messages.
Introduction
Although developing a wireless application may be observed as a difficult thing, but the improved communication that came out of it is amazing. The main advantages of wireless application are to improve the communication between different locations anytime, anywhere. (Wireless communication has been around since the early part of the last century, and has provided enormous benefit to corporations and governments by allowing their people to talk to one another from remote locations (cars, job sites, etc.). Wireless data communication has also been around for the last 30 years or so, but the equipment was very expensive, often custom manufactured, and the coverage was extremely limited. In the past two to five years, low cost equipment and ubiquitous networks allowed the wide spread adoption of wireless computer-to-computer and remote data access.)(1)
So to design and develop a wireless application is not hard or expensive as companies and universities think, it could be a challenge but the output of it could be very profitable by time.
SMS messages rapidly gained popularity when they first appeared on the market due to their ease of use and low cost. For example, ChinaMobile recorded more than 20 billion SMS messages sent in China during the first six months of last year. Lately, more and more businesses and government agencies are realizing the value of SMS as an effective communications tool and are beginning to put SMS service into commercial use.(2)
Motivation
Through to the fast growing in technology, and the need of fast data received I found myself interested in knowing and doing this application especially that I have low background in it. And our university dose not provides us with this information on our mobile. I found myself interesting and encouraged to do this application because this is my last year and I want to be recognized by this project.
Problem statement
As a university student the pressure that student face especially at the end of every semester to see the grade of the registered courses and the waiting is tough. So this application could save the students time and help the university not to have server crush due to the many students hitting the database.
This task is designed to develop an effective solution to send/receive some information from/to the database through the wireless technology to be use in communication in healthcare environments or education, or military and such.
Related work
In education
King Saud University and other in the world are using this technology to send the student grades to their mobile when it’s lunched to the database to inform them.
In business
There are lots of uses in business for this technology for venders and buyers to keep in touch and communicate effectively to have the best inventory. Also in Reservation and Booking System.
Value
This project has a great value when it is added to the business filed and companies environment by adding efficient and effective communication between venders, customers and managers, feedback service also it help to save time and gain profit in future.
Proposed solution

This application will retrieve information from the database and send it through SMS and E-mail technology to different user and save their notification in a table in the database.
Known issues and risks
When the developer is new to the field there could be some challenging regarding using mobile technology and the developed software such as:
• The server could not run probably.
• The software using for SMS could not run on java application.
• Run out of time before figuring out how to program the coding for SMS.
Conclusion
As I said the application is challenging but could have a great value to different kind of industry. People now a day are seeking for new solution for the communication between the different parties. Also with mobile technology you have access to wider consumer base with more than 5 million using mobile phone.
